Passion Stay Undefeated, Move Into Sole Possession Of First Place

PSAMP HAS MOVED! CLICK HERE TO GET TO THE BRAND NEW SITE! NOW!

The Passion head into their Memorial Day bye week fresh off a 28-0 win over the Columbus Phantoms (thanks, smarchit) Baltimore Nighthawks.

And guess what? IWFL has no stats or recap posted! Awesome. Instead, I'll have to update you on some happenings in the division.

With this win, Pittsburgh moves to 5-0 on the season. The team previously tied atop the North Atlantic division, the New York Sharks, dropped the ball over the weekend, and their 28-14 loss to the Boston Militia allowed Pittsburgh to claim sole possession of first place.

Both teams are off this weekend, setting up a clash between the two in two weeks. Pittsburgh can distance themselves from the pack with a win, while the Sharks need their A-game in order to keep pace.

But remember, Pittsburgh beat Boston earlier in the season, in convincing fashion. If Boston can hold its own against New York, then I'm excited about the game against the Sharks.

38-0 vs. Columbus Phantoms was the 4th game of the year (http://psamp.blogspot.com/2008/05/passion-use-creepy-mascot-to-beat.html)

The most recent win (which still hasn't been recapped anywhere yet that I know of....grrr!) was a 28-0 victory at the Baltimore Nighthawks.

Whoops, don't know why I used Columbus again, rather than Baltimore.

These recaps are slow to bat. There were never any last season, so I used the stats from the NWFA site to make my own. The stats for the IWFL are even worse. And the press releases on the Passion site are lucky to make it to the 'net before the next game starts. Its getting difficult to recap these, with no help. If the IWFL could get some real stats, or the Passion would put up a quicker press release, I could get a meaningfull recap done earlier in the week.

Thanks for catching that. Getting changed now
